Since Inception, we have been successfully providing rural learners with skills and competence in different fields that make business sense; from actual skills of production, to starting an enterprise, managing it to its life survival and professional solutions, as well as expertise in the organization, management and development of skilled human capital and business.
GLIDE offers an impressive range of modular trainings, research, and consulting and outreach services. We pride ourselves on our track record and long-standing with the countryside partners, many of whom have been with us since we started service.
Our lead partner for Certification is Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) which gives modularized certificates in occupational competencies. We will work with DIT and the Para veterinary stakeholders to customize job curricular, which will result into competence training. Each of these modularized skill sets will carry credit which will be certified by DIT and Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), with approval by DIT. In this way, Uganda Veterinary Board (UVB) and Uganda Veterinary Association will be able to make tailor-made courses which will carry credit and enable professional growth of each para-vet.
The modules will be graded in levels; 1, 2,3,4,5 occupational competencies in line with Uganda Qualification framework. Therefore, a proposed partner engagement and intervention will usher in a Uganda Vocational qualification framework for a range of jobs and modularized occupations linked to the world of work in the veterinary/ animal world. We also up-skill the competencies of professionals.
GLIDE, has also established itself as a leader in Knowledge and Technology transfer, innovation and management.
